Based on the guidelines of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, the intangible cultural heritage of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga is organized into five categories exploring the listed assets  resulting from extensive research and documentation carried out in the field, oral traditions and expressions, including language as a vehicle of intangible cultural heritage; performing arts; social customs, ritual and festive events; knowledge and practices related to nature and the universe; traditional craftsmanship.

Each heritage element is narrated through a combination of narrative styles, drawing on direct testimonies and ethnographic context, with images and sounds documented in the field or sourced from public and private archives.
