Established in 2001 to promote an authentic and high-quality product, the Porchetta Festival celebrates the local tradition of preparing this flavorful specialty. Each year, nine master porchetta makers, representing as many workshops in the area, showcase their expertise as members of the association I Maestri della Porchetta: Giampaolo Mercuri, Peppino D’Alberto, Fratelli Pallotta, Adriano Antenucci, Fratelli Mercuri, Gianni De Sanctis, Fratelli Di Gennaro, Lucio Di Stefano, and Nicolino Mercuri. Rooted in centuries of history, this craft has been passed down through generations within families and the community. It follows an ancient recipe that demands a meticulous and precise preparation and cooking process.
